CentricsIT receives GLOBE award from Georgia Governor Nathan Deal
Award recognizes companies for entering new international markets in 2014

ATLANTA, March 4 — CentricsIT was presented a GLOBE (Georgia Launching Opportunities By Exporting) Award during the Go Global Reception held on Monday, Mar. 2. The award recognizes companies that entered one or more international markets in 2014; this is the second consecutive commendation for CentricsIT. The State of Georgia has companies with international representation in 11 strategic markets, contributing to vast economic development and global presence. Patrick Keuller, Vice President of Global Sales; Trent Torrence, Director of International Sales; and Emily Santa Maria, International Logistics Manager, accepted the award from Georgia Governor Nathan Deal on behalf of CentricsIT.

CentricsIT, a global IT hardware and solutions provider, was proactive in expanding to further international markets in 2014, establishing its presence in 17 new countries, including: Afghanistan, Bahamas, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Estonia, Guatemala, Haiti, Jamaica, Kazakhstan, Nicaragua, Norway, Pakistan, Panama, Peru, Portugal, and Yemen. CentricsIT continues to make headway tapping into further territories, offering asset disposition services and maintenance solutions in addition to its hardware sales.

“International trade is a vital component of economic development for small businesses in Georgia,” said Gov. Deal. “In fact, in the last year, 88 percent of companies that utilized Georgia’s international trade services had fewer than 100 employees. The GLOBE Awards give us an opportunity to recognize our state’s small businesses that have entered into a new market in the past year.”

The 2014 honoree companies that contributed to Georgia’s international export growth together entered into 104 different countries and territories. This puts Georgia in its fifth consecutive year of export growth. The state now ranks 11th in the United States for international exporting.
