- Support of the latest Intel Xeon processors
- A wide variety of input and output options
- The innovative Virtual Connect technology
- Numerous network interconnect alternatives
- Integrated Lights Out
- Multiple redundant features
- Embedded RAID controllers
The HP ProLiant BL460c G7 provides greater 2P x86 server blade density without compromise and maximum power efficiency with flexibility and choice.
HP ProLiant BL460c G7 servers have Integrated Lights-Out 3 (iLO 3) management processors that serve to simplify server setup. They also have health monitoring and recovery, power and thermal control that use Thermal Logic technologies to reduce power consumption and airflow, and lights-out remote administration. HP ProLiant BL460c G7 servers offered by CentricsIT use the C7000 enclosure, which is built with four or ten Active Cool 200 fans as standard for redundancy and improved power consumption and acoustics. Additional Active Cool 200 Fan kits can be added for up to a maximum of 10 fans. The C7000 enclosure also offers redundant hot-plug cooling, redundant hot-plug power supplies, redundant connections, redundant interconnect modules, optional redundant BladeSystem Onboard Administrator management modules and full AC redundancy—with no power zones.
HP ProLiant BL460c G7 servers have the option of utilizing HP Insight Control to deliver essential infrastructure management. This option can help save time and money by making your IT infrastructure easy to deploy, migrate, monitor, control and optimize through one single, simple management console. Note that Insight Control supports both Windows and Linux-based central management servers. Another major advantage of the HP ProLiant BL460c G7 and the HP ProLiant Blades in general is small dimensions, which allow them to take up less space in comparison to rack-mounted devices. With the recent popularity of virtualization, this offers an important benefit to many customers.
HP Insight Dynamics is another product option for ProLiant servers and serves as an integrated command center, enabling IT personnel to continuously analyze and optimize a converged infrastructure. This facilitates automation and reduces the cost of common data center tasks by as much as 40 percent. Ultimately, this functionality allows workers to dynamically keep pace with the organization’s changing business goals and requirements.
HP offers two different c-Class server blade enclosures to meet your company’s needs. The HP BladeSystem c7000 rack enclosure is 10U high and holds up to sixteen (16) ProLiant BL460c
G7 servers plugged vertically. The HP BladeSystem c3000 rack enclosure is 6U high and holds up to eight (8) HP ProLiant BL460c G7 servers plugged horizontally. CentricsIT uses the c7000 c-Class server blade, which is designed to fit a multitude of devices such as: storage blades, server blades, interconnect modules, power supplies, fans, and redundant Onboard Administrator modules.
In addition, Gartner, the world’s leading information technology research and advisory company places HP in the Leaders Quadrant of the Magic Quadrant for Blade Servers. HP believes that with this report, Gartner has reinforced HP’s vision, strategy and pivotal market leadership of blade server technology. HP’s placement in the report represents HP’s “ability to execute” combined with their “completeness of vision.”
